Pulitzer-Prize Winning Editor, Jim Rich, Joins SWNS Media Group
Former New York Daily News Editor-in-Chief Jim Rich has joined SWNS Media Group in New York to build on the strong growth over the past four years.
Rich, who helped guide the Daily News to the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service Journalism, joins as editor-at-large of SWNS Media Group and is tasked with overseeing both SWNS news service and 72Point’s 2019 expansion plans.
72Point already offers unrivaled news consultancy services to many of the largest PR agencies in the U.S. from their bicoastal offices in New York City and Southern California.
Previously installed as executive editor of the Huffington Post and having held numerous positions at the New York Post, Rich has been profiled in both the New York Times and New York Magazine. In 2016 The Hollywood Reporter named him among the most powerful people in New York media.

In his new role, Rich will oversee the core business of 72Point U.S. with an aim to generate brand exposure through news coverage. He will also be tasked with enhancing the SWNS news operation with his extensive knowledge of the media landscape here.

Originally founded in the U.K., the move demonstrates 72Point’s rapid growth in the U.S. alongside an increasing news presence for SWNS Media Group.
