MEDIA CAMPAIGN:
AMERICA’S FAVORITE SUPERHERO

We teamed up with Visit Anaheim to find out which superhero is America’s all-time favorite
(hint… it isn’t Captain America).

 

CAMPAIGN

We conducted an online poll with 2,000 American adults, asking them to vote for their favorite superhero and villain.

Superman won with over 47 percent of the vote. The top three was rounded out by Spider-Man (46 percent) and Batman (45 percent), with Captain America (42 percent) and Iron Man (41 percent) not far behind.

While Superman won the top spot, the study found fans prefer Marvel to DC (33 percent to 17 percent) and the Avengers were revealed to be the favorite crime-fighting team (30 percent).

And the villains? Joker topped the list as America’s favorite (31 percent), with Catwoman (26 percent) and Venom (23 percent) rounding out the top three.

We created and distributed the survey-led news story and infographic on behalf of Visit Anaheim, ahead of the new Avengers Campus due to open at Disney California Adventure Park in 2020. 


RESULTS

The story secured 135 pieces of coverage, over 13.4 million estimated coverage views and 27,000 social shares

The story landed on top-tier news and entertainment sites including New York Post, People.com, Screen Rant, CBR.com, Superhero Hype and Heroic Hollywood.
