MEDIA CAMPAIGN: PET LOVE

We conducted a OnePoll study on behalf of JustFoodForDogs, to mark National Love Your Pet Day.

 

Campaign

This earned media campaign for pet food brand, JustFoodForDogs was driven by an online study of 2,000 dog owners.

We asked dog owners about their love for their four-legged friends and found 72% of our survey respondents said they would gladly put themselves in harm’s way to save their dog.

The JustFoodForDogs news story included these research findings:

  • Four in five dog owners consider their dogs a full-fledged member of the family.

  • Of those respondents married or in a relationship (79%) over half (53%) admitted to kissing their hound more than their partner. 

  • Three in five (61%) admitted they prefer their dog to some people they know.

  • Forty-seven percent confessed to knowing the names of the dogs in their neighborhood but not their owners.

  • Nearly half (47%) admitted they had even canceled plans in the past just to stay in with man’s best friend. 

Results

The campaign secured media exposure ahead of National Love Your Pet Day, with coverage across national and regional news, and animal and lifestyle sites.

106 pieces of coverage across high-ranking sites – 10 links directly to the brand’s campaign landing page - with an estimated 19 million coverage views and 25,000 social media shares.
